MMs are so slow because we have to stand back and summon while everyone else moves on the moment things are dead... D: -prefers Curses-

Charlie, that's looking amazing, as always. The skulls, feathers and plates are particularly awesome.

@Aero and Morag: Haha, yeah. I liked the idea that she's controls the minions from a distance while looking good.

@Drel: Thanks, I'm pretty excited about this piece.

@Magik: Wasn't really planning on it. I'm doing more of a hybrid version between the GW and Aion version, yet still making it obvious that it's Shala. Since I won't be including the wings, I instead brought in the feathered collar.

@IH: Should come out looking pretty cool in the end.

@Hail: That's good to hear. You have some cool drawings of Shala, though it looked like there was a lack of "sinister" pictures of her. I want to make her look more like "Shala the Minion Master", not "Shala the Fashion Model".

EDIT: Another progress shot. Been distracted today, so I didn't get as far as I'd like. Adding on more of the finer details on the armor, and still playing around with color. Still debating on how I want to do the scar tattoo.

I really love the small hints of red in her face. Combined with the scar crossing her eye it looks amazing. I would give the other parts of the scar print a bit more color, perhaps a bit darker too, I think what would look better. And still those horns. So amazing really.

Btw is there any chance you have some more sketches uploaded which you haven't shared with us (not particularly on Shala). Because I really like the way you sketch, want to see more!

Oooh, nice!

I think that the one leg (the one in the back) should probably be angled back a tiny bit more - heels screw up your center of balance, and with heels that tall and standing as she is, she'd be pretty likely to fall over

@Toms: Gotcha, I'm still playing around with the scar pattern. Debating if I want them to be just like regular tattoos, or more like a raised/depressed skin type of thing. Luckily they're still on a separate layer, so I can still freely edit it.

I actually do have a number of sketches from my Anatomy class last year. Just haven't scanned and uploaded them since most of them are 18x24" - I'll get around to it soon though.

@V: Cool, thanks for the insight on heels. Aero and I were actually laughing earlier, she suggested I ask one of my neighbors for a pair to try on to better understand how they effect your posture. But since I don't really talk to my neighbors, that's kind of the habit of a serial killer. That and I have guy parts.

CALL FOR A RITUALIST

I've got an idea for a Rit that I'd like to get out of my system before I take on animating Shala. So now, I'm looking for a Rit to draw - go ahead and post if you're interested.

Yeah, heels really change things - your center of balance, your posture, and how you walk. Which is why I don't wear them

Ritualist, huh?

@IH: Once I get to Sins, I don't think you have to much competition - just you and Smilin' as far as I know. And it's not like I won't repeat classes.

@V and Morag: Good looking Rits, thanks for posting. So far you two and Aero are in the running.

@Del: We do need some Ranger love up in here!

@Frost: I'd like to draw both your and my ele, Dixun. Nice opposites of ice and fire.

@Raven: Don't worry Mina, I certainly haven't forgotten Ran. THIS THREAD NEEDS MOAR TESTOSTERONE.

COME ON YOU SILLY SAUSAGES, START POSTING YOUR RITS.

I think the only reason I made one was to fill one of my Merc Hero slots.

Being a silly sausage, I will now post my rit

I present to you.. Mina Fouille!

And more here: http://s741.photobucket.com/albums/x...for%20Charlie/

Since the screens may be a bit messy: She has Elite Imperial Armor with an Obsidian Headwrap, all dyed purple + brown + black I think, just to make it nice and dark Weapons of preference are Tormented Spear + Echovald Shield or a Bo staff. She's a real imperial Ritualist, loving their architecture.

And I heard from reliable sources the concept will be very cool, so I'm very interested in what you come up with! Good luck drawing all the little coins, jewels and skulls

Edit: lol I only now notice that Mina has put her own shield into her forehead, which only the strongest and most spiritual ritualists can!
